Why is there a retainer fee to join?
Drs. Seidman and Goldmark receive no additional reimbursement for your care.  Your membership fee pays for all encounters with the doctors.

Do I still need to maintain my insurance?
Yes.  You still need insurance to cover potential expenses like diagnostic tests, specialist visits and hospitalizations.  The annual fee is specifically for Drs. Seidman and Goldmark’s care.

What if I need to go to the hospital?
Drs. Seidman and Goldmark will oversee your care with the in-hospital staff and consultants.  We will go to any hospital within a one-hour radius of our office.

How large is the practice?
Dr. Seidman will have a base of 400 patients and Dr. Goldmark 200.  Previously, our practice included several thousand patients.

What if I need to see a subspecialist?
The Doctors will coordinate your care with the appropriate subspecialist and expedite access if necessary.  We know many of subspecialists in the area and emphasize those who provide stellar care and the kind of compassion our patients deserve.

What kind of patients join the practice?
We have people from 16 years of age to over 100!  Some are very busy with work and family obligations and want better service than is available in standard practices.  Others are elderly with complicated medical problems.  Some are very health-conscious people who want to be able to discuss issues with their physician in an un-hurried fashion.

Will my insurance pay for the practice services?
In some cases, you may be eligible for reimbursement by your insurance company.  We are considered “non-participating” providers.  In addition, you may be able to utilize your flexible spending account which makes our fee a tax deduction.
