Testimonials

Dear Dr. Seidman:

I wanted to take a minute to write you a letter expressing my gratitude for all you've done for my mother in such a short period of time.

As you know, my mother suffered greatly in the past two years. During that time, my greatest challenge was trying to find competent and compassionate physicians to take care of her. And, a challenge it was. It wasn't until January of this year that I achieved my goal when I found you. I've never seen a physician so caring and so knowledgeable as you are. If I were to look up the definition of physician in the dictionary, your name would be next to it. If I were to look up the definition of compassionate, your name would be next to it too. I truly mean this. You've done more for my mother in two months than all the doctors I took her to in the last two years. I only wish you could have seen my mother as she was prior to her getting sick. She had a wonderful sense of humor that I know you would have enjoyed. Despite how sick she was, she always told me when we left your office how much she liked you.

I hope your patients realize that they not only have an incredible physician taking care of them - but they also have and incredible human being caring for them as well. That is indeed a rare combination.

I can't say thank you enough for all you've done. I hope we can stay in touch in the future.

Sincerely,

C.G., Gaithersburg, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Aimee Seidman for 15 years. During this time I have received excellent care. She is an excellent internist and she is fully aware of medical procedures and medications. She advises all of her patients carefully on how to take their medication that she prescribes to them based on their medical needs. She takes the time to listen to all of her patients during office visits and consultations over the phone. Her advice has always been so rewarding to me.

She has been in several locations which were always easy for me to reach. I am 80 years old and at my age I need a competent physician who cares about the elderly and their health.

I feel very comfortable referring new patients to her. I am sure she will care for their health as she has done for me.

Florence R., R.N., Washington, D.C.

Medicine is just another commodity these days. Line up, get your shot, get your pills, pay your co-pay and leave now.

How refreshing it is to be a patient of Dr. Goldmark's. She takes time to examine you, explains what's wrong, outlines the course of treatment and why it will work. Just as important, we talk about books and movies and what we liked and didn't like and why. And the "bedside manner" has returned!

Few things are more important than one's health, and I sleep well knowing my doctor is caring, thorough, and not run by an insurance company. She's the best.

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been a patient of Dr. Aimee Seidman for many years. I initially went to Dr. Seidman after becoming dissatisfied with my previous Internist. Dr. Seidman has been truly extraordinary in looking after my health and my overall well-being. I would recommend Dr. Seidman to anyone at anytime. She goes beyond the normal day to day care. She has a sincere interest in my overall health.

As a result of some serious health challenges prior to Dr. Seidman, she and I have set up scheduled periodic visits which have helped me immensely to be able to have confidence in my healthcare. I can't think of any shortcomings in Dr. Seidman's practice of medicine. After being a partner at Deloitte & Touche for 29 years, I think I know something about professional services.

Would be pleased to answer any questions at anytime from anyone, Again, Dr. Seidman is extraordinary!

Sincerely,

Thomas G. King

On May 31, 2003 my family's entire life changed when our mother had a major stroke. Imagine this was a woman who was the backbone of our family. On this day our mother lost her ability to ever articulate her words, her ability to walk without assistance of some sort, and her independence.

While this may sound very bleak to many, it was also a time for my family to access our strengths and to learn how to stand on the foundation that our mother had built for us. Needless to say, this was not easy and we soon learned that a door would open and that help was on the way.

Our first introduction to Dr. Marcia Goldmark was in July 2003 while our mother was in rehab at Holy Cross Rehabilitation Center in Burtonsville, MD. Dr. Goldmark was instrumental in not only the health needs of our mom but she went the extra step to assist the family in understanding the type of stroke our mother had experienced, her limitations going forward and how we, as a family needed to adjust our thought patterns so that we could play a productive role in mom's recovery.

My mother is currently at home with her children and Dr. Goldmark has been her primary physician since 2003. Yes, like many of you, our mother had Medicare, and a secondary insurance plan (Blue Cross/BlueShield). We thought she had the best, so when we were told that the medical practice is changing and that they would no longer be accepting insurance, but rather a retainer would be required that covered the doctor visits, and other services, I pinched myself. Ouch! First instinct, no way, we have insurance.

I had to take a few moments to absorb this new way of doing business, so many questions ran through my mind.

  • Do I want to go shop for a new physician, especially when I have someone who knows everything about my mom and us. ... NO;
  • I would complain when I need more time with the doctor but couldn't have that because of the constraints the insurance companies place upon physicians;
  • Where else am I going to find a physician who is always there no matter what the hour, wherever I am in the United States or whom I trust completely with my mom's life.

The answer for my family was clear. The retainer fee was nothing compared to the services I had received and those that were being offered with this retainer. I don't think one has to have a devastating experience to realize that they are blessed to find a doctor like Marcia Goldmark. She cares about the health of each of her patients, and she is a doctor who becomes a part of your family in so many ways.

Whatever the cost, I am so thankful we made the right decision paying the retainer for total health care for a physician like Dr. Goldmark is worth it. She is someone who brings an entire skill set that is very much needed in the health care profession, you can trust in her decisions, and you know she has your health care at heart.

Dear Aimee;

Enclosed is the retainer for medical services. I thank you so much for being available to us when [DD] was ill last week. Your care and medical competence helped both of us get through a difficult period. I am so relieved that we both now have a family doctor we can trust and rely upon. I will not hesitate to recommend you highly to friends or family looking for the type of medical care that we are now privileged to have.

I wish you, your family and your staff a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Dr. Aimee Seidman,

Our family wishes to express our heartfelt appreciation for the kindness and excellent care our mother received during her years with you. Of course we are very saddened by her passing, but we are comforted in knowing that she received the best care available. The sensitivity and support from you helped us through a very difficult time, and we will never forget your kindness.

Dr. Seidman, our mother had great respect and affection for you; she would not undergo any tests or treatment without first getting an "OK" from Dr. Seidman. She always referred to you as her third daughter. You were very patient with her and you would listen to what she wanted; sometimes we, as her children, would not listen when she expressed her wishes, and she felt that by letting you know what she wanted, you would see to it that we would know what she wanted.

It meant a lot to us to know that you took time out of your schedule to be with us and talk to us about what Mom wanted and help us make what was the hardest decision of our lives. I believe it gave Mom comfort knowing that you were there with us.

Dr. Seidman, please express our appreciation to everyone in your office who worked with Mom. It's the thoughtfulness such as you have shown us that will help give us emotional and spiritual strength in the days ahead as we think of and miss Mom.

Fondly,

Robbin, Mel, Kevin, Keith, and Crystal Smith

As a patient for the past fourteen years, I have experienced the highest level of professionalism and personal attention from the front office staff to my incredible physician, Dr. Marcia Goldmark. Warm welcomes from the office manager, assistants, and medical professionals are always waiting. As an education professional, I have the utmost respect for the fairness, understanding and concern demonstrated from such an exemplary team of human beings. The recent transition to the retainer service has impacted my life in a positive way. More specifically, it gives me more time to talk to Dr. Goldmark and any of her staff members regarding my medical care. It certainly reminds me of the television show, Marcus Welby, M.D. More importantly, being a recent member of the "fifty year old club", I would be willing to be part of a reality show about outstanding medical professionals starring Dr. Marcia Goldmark and Dr. Aimee Seidman and their staff. I am sure it would become the number one television show in the United States!
